The key to adapting a healthy version of this traditional dish is to find one that most appeals to your palate. Don’t dig heat? Skip the cayenne and hot sauce. Prefer a thick spread? Pass on the pickle juice. Just remember that the key ingredients are cheddar, mayonnaise and pimentos.



  • 1 tbsp Pimento, canned
  • 2 tbsp Low Fat Cream Cheese
  • 1 tbsp Low Fat Greek Yogurt, Plain
  • 1/4 tsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1/4 tsp Hot Sauce
  • 1/8 tsp Spices & Seasonings, Ground Cayenne Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Sea Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 1/4 cups Low Fat Sharp Cheddar Cheese


1 In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients except the cheddar and use a large spoon to stir until well combined.
2 Add cheese and mix well, scraping the sides of the bowl to recombine any of the mixture.
3 Check the seasoning and adjust if necessary.
