This tuna pasta salad uses good-for-you avocado instead of mayonnaise. Bring it to your next gathering for a side dish that everyone will love.
INGREDIENTS

1/4 cup Whole Grain Rotini Pasta

12 oz canned white tuna (packed in water)

1/2 fruit without skin and seed Avocados, raw, California

2 tbsp Basil, fresh

1 tbsp Pine Nuts

1/4 tsp Salt

1/4 tsp Black Pepper
DIRECTIONS

Cook the pasta as directed and chill in the fridge for 1 hour.

In a bowl, combine the tuna with the avocado, mixing well.

Mix in the basil and pine nuts

Remove pasta from fridge and gently mix it into the tuna mixture.

Add salt and black pepper, adjusting to taste.

Notes: While this recipe uses whole grain rotini, feel free to use your pasta of choice.
