Move aside, candied yams! We’re making sweet potatoes topped with maple syrup and smoked paprika. This simple recipe uses no oil, but it’s still rich in flavor. Sweet potatoes can help regulate blood sugar and provide antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits. So go on and get your sweet potato fix this winter.
INGREDIENTS

4 sweetpotato , raw sweet potato

4 tsp Maple Syrup

1/4 tsp Sea Salt

3 tsp Spices - Smoked Paprika

3 cups Water, tap, well
DIRECTIONS

Place the sweet potatoes in a pot and add water to come up about ½ inch from the bottom of the pan.

Sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt if using it and bring the water to a boil.

Turn the heat to low and add the maple syrup and smoked paprika.

Simmer for 9 minutes with a lid askew and then keep simmering until all of the liquid is gone and the sweet potatoes are soft, about one minute more.
