Muscle Mashed Potatoes with Protein Powder

Comfort food = mashed potatoes. Now, you can enjoy this side dish with added protein AND less fat, making these perennial favorites good for a recovery meal, post-workout. We recommend using flavorless protein powder for these as well as red-skinned or Yukon Gold potatoes.

INGREDIENTS

SERVES 4

  • 1 lb Potato, Red
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1/4 cup Milk 2%
  • 1 scoop Pure Protein Whey Powder

DIRECTIONS

1 Skin potatoes.
2 Place potatoes in a large pot.
3 Cover with water and boil for 15 minutes or until you can pierce
4 through them with a fork.
5 Drain potatoes before adding them back to the pot and mashing them.
6 Add butter, milk and protein powder to the potatoes and mix thoroughly.
7 Salt and pepper to taste.
