This sweet and savory breakfast sandwich offers omega-3s, protein and complex carbohydrates.

INGREDIENTS

SERVES 1

  • 1 whole-grain bread slice(s)
  • 1/4 cup shredded Monterey jack cheese
  • 1/3 cup part-skim ricotta cheese
  • 11 walnut halves
  • 1/2 tsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp minced ginger

DIRECTIONS

1 Lightly toast slice of bread.
2 Combine cheese, walnuts, honey, and ginger in a bowl.
3 Spread the mixture onto toast.
