PB&O - Jess' Peanut Butter Steel Cut Oatmeal

Add some protein to your oatmeal to make it more filling. I used Betty Lou's Just Great Stuff Organic Powered Peanut Butter, but you can use PB2 or even regular peanut butter.



  • 1/4 cup Steel Cut Oats, Organic
  • 2 tbsp Organic Powered Peanut Butter
  • 1 tsp Organic Raw Honey


1 Boil 1 cup of water and then add in 1/4 cup of steel cut oats and a pinch of salt.
2 Once water returns to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cover, but leave the lid tilted.
3 To ensure the traditional rich nutty flavor, avoid overcooking.
4 Mix the peanut butter in with the oatmeal.
5 Drizzle with honey.
