Forget the hydrogenated palm oil and loads of refined sugar -- this version uses vitamin-rich maple syrup and simple vegetable oil.

30 Hazelnuts, beaked (Northern Plains Indians)

1 tbsp Vegetable Oil

1 medium banana

1/3 cup Organic Cocoa Powder

1/4 cup Maple Syrup
DIRECTIONS

Combine hazelnuts and oil in a food processor and blend.

Add the the ripe banana, the unsweetened cocoa powder and the maple syrup and blend until smooth.

Serve on toast or with fruit like strawberries and sliced bananas.
