As George and Martha drink neat alcohol in Edward Albee's 'Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?', they recall a time when Martha ordered ‘ladylike’ drinks – gimlets and Brandy Alexanders. In winter, the richness of a Brandy Alexander provides comfort and warms from the inside out.
INGREDIENTS
SERVES 2
- 3 oz heavy whipping cream
- 3 oz Cognac
- 3 oz Creme De Cacao
- 10 Ice Cube
- 1 pinch Nutmeg, Freshly Ground
DIRECTIONS

Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker.

Add ice.

Shake vigorously, then strain into cocktail glasses.

Grate some nutmeg into the top, then serve.
