Look at any ‘best snacks’ list and you’re likely to come across popcorn as a fan favorite. This simple, freshly popped variety gives you a low calorie crunch filled with fiber and antioxidants and the grapeseed oil is a good source of vitamin E and omega-6 fatty acids. Enjoy this quick snack as-is, or add toppings of your choice. Popcorn pairs amazingly with condiments such as sea salt and srirarcha.
INGREDIENTS
SERVES 2
-
1 1/2 tbsp grapeseed oil
-
5 tbsp Popping Kernels, Popcorn
DIRECTIONS
1
In a large saucepan, fully heat the oil over medium. (Note: If you like, vary the type of oil used to best match flavor of toppings or personal preference.)
2
Once hot, add the popcorn, cover with a lid, and shake the pan to fully coat the kernels with oil. Continue shaking routinely until you begin to hear popping.
3
Let the popcorn pop without shaking the pan until popping stops, about 3 minutes.
4
Remove from heat and immediately toss with toppings of choice or enjoy plain.
